    Camping, Memories and Bonding

    By: Chelsea Aubin

Taking your family on a camping trip can be a way to gain memories and experiences together. It is a good way to get close with nature and the people you love. Being involved with nature is a great experience and one you will remember forever. While camping there are so many things you can do. You can just sit and relax around the fire and relax, cooking marshmallows and s'mores. Or you could go hiking and mountain biking on trails or roads. Swimming and boating are also great fun when camping. You can also go 4-wheeling or dirt biking if that is more your style.

Fond memories and strong bonds are formed while on camping expeditions. Lovers have become closer, the world appears fresh and new and the crispy morning sunlight that glistens off the dew on the grass, will leave you breathless. When with your family, you will find that spending so much time together and away from the “real world” of electronics and television, you will learn things about each other you have never known before.

You might want to consider going camping in another state. It could be a good experience to explore the different terrain and areas. Just remember that camping in a state park will cost money because of electrical and water hook ups, and in other places showers and bathrooms. But where ever you are going to go camping, either rustic-living of the land camping, or state park “luxury” camping, you might want to consider bringing a first aid kit. Bringing a few of your family's favorite games for the unexpected rainy day could also be a smart idea.

Maybe the best thing about camping is the fresh air and clear skies. You can look off into the horizon and not see a bunch of buildings crowding the sky line. You can also afford to take a deep, deep breath without the worries of smog and smoke, other than campfire smoke. All of the smells of the woods are clearer and you can smell a patch of wildflowers from yards away.

Camping is a great experience for all ages. Becoming closer to nature is one of the most rewarding vacations you can give your children. They will take their experiences from camping, and pass them on to their children.
